Mystery Maui Escape Room
A unique live experience of physically being part of a mystery. You have 60 minutes to solve the mystery. Minimum of 2 people, max 6. Corporate games/larger teams also welcome.

Downstair in the concert hall. Hey Maui! My (Christopher Magee's) album release show for "Infinite Weight", an album of 14 original songs, is set for Saturday, June 13th, 6-8pm, at the Maui Coffee Attic. This will be a live performance of the entire album, with bandmates Andrea Walls, Christopher Dack, Jarod Hermann, Armando Gonzales, and Devin Sylva, + special guests Steve Grimes, Arlie Asiu, David Fraser, Stevan Holt, and Steven Alan Burgess. INDIGENOUS FEATURE: Before the Moon Falls shares the powerful story of acclaimed Samoan writer Sia Figiel and her difficult path toward healing after a mental health diagnosis. Paired with Ka Pō Lōʻihi, the program also follows Kekai as he confronts grief, generational trauma and the cycle of systemic drug abuse and incarceration.
WATERSPORTS FEATURE: Jack Johnson’s Surfilmusic traces Jack Johnson’s journey from making surf videos with friends on Oʻahu’s North Shore to becoming one of modern music’s most recognizable voices. Paired with Concrete & Salt, the program also offers an intimate look at a young teenage breaker chasing a life-changing opportunity on the national stage.
INDIGENOUS SHORTS: Art in Cinema explores art as memory, resistance, and reclamation. Haagua, Oceanbone, Twisted Braid, Uma Memória Emplumada, and Painted Ones move through surf, poetry, murals, tattoo, and visual storytelling to honor Indigenous histories, confront colonial harm, and celebrate the creative expressions that keep culture alive.
WATERSPORTS FEATURE: Harbour Chronicles: Shaping a Legacy follows legendary surfboard shaper Rich Harbour in the nostalgic surf town of Seal Beach, where his craftsmanship, passion and deep connection to the water have helped shape a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
NEXT GENERATION: Student Best of Fest celebrates the creativity and talent of emerging filmmakers, featuring six High School Shorts and seven College Short finalists competing for Jury Awards presented on-stage. The program is sponsored by University of Hawaiʻi Maui College.
INDIGENOUS FEATURE: The Stolen Children of Aotearoa is a powerful documentary uncovering the painful history of abuse within New Zealand’s state care system, as survivors share stories of lost childhoods and their long fight for justice. Paired with Braids, the program also follows a young Native boy on picture day as he confronts a difficult lesson about identity, visibility and belonging. Viewer discretion is advised.
In ANIMATED SHORTS, the ordinary gives way to the strange, the sacred, and the wildly unexpected. KIN - Dudi & Jojo, Tankha, The City on the Edge of Whatever, Pip and Echo, and River Revelations bring ancestral voices, mysterious predictions, far-future creatures, runaway dreams, and enchanted river paths to life through stories that are playful, poetic, and full of imagination
PRIDE SHORTS: Film Is The Warmest Color celebrates stories of identity, resilience, love, and belonging across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific. MĀHŪ: A Trans-Pacific Love Letter, All the Things I Leave You (Patawid), HUE, Grace, and The Safe Space: From Survive to Thrive explore the courage to live and love authentically, from the cultural legacy of māhū and hidden histories of forbidden love to the compassion, care, and connection that help communities move from survival to thriving.
HAWAI‘I FEATURE: Lāhainā Rising presents two moving stories of resilience, survival, and care for home. Lāhainā Rising chronicles the devastation of the wildfires and the ongoing struggles of displaced Lāhainā residents, while Stories from the Blue: Saving Koholā follows the heroic efforts to protect humpback whales from deadly marine debris. Viewer discretion is advised, as Lāhainā Rising addresses difficult and potentially distressing subject matter and is not recommended for children.
WATERSPORTS SHORTS: Surf’s Up! celebrates the pull of the ocean and the stories shaped by it. Sweet Spots, The Sea & She, and Finding True North explore surfing, sea, tradition, and personal journey through films that honor the water as a source of discovery, identity, and inspiration.
HAWAI‘I DOC SHORTS shares stories rooted in music, culture, creativity, and place. Along Comes Larry: The Larry Ramos Story, The World Ukulele Program - Bali, Da Farm, Reel Wāhine of Hawaiʻi: Pākē Salmon, and Kūkulu highlight the people and practices carrying Hawaiʻi’s stories forward, from Grammy-winning music and global ʻukulele lessons to farm life, filmmaking, Aloha ʻĀina, and the restoration of cultural spaces.
HAWAI‘I SHORTS: Stories from the Heart of the Pacific honors powerful stories of culture, place, and connection. Hui O Waʻa Kaulua, Sacred Island: Living The Dream, and Kūkini carry audiences from Lahaina’s voyaging legacy and the sacred island of Kahoʻolawe to 1790 Hawaiʻi, where courage, survival, and ancestral messages shape the journey.
INDIGENOUS SHORTS brings together stories of tradition, friendship, survival, and belonging across Indigenous communities and cultures. The Last Puestero, The Arrangements, DASHER, and Distant Roots move from the rugged landscapes of Patagonia to Hawaiʻi and New Zealand, exploring what people carry with them through change, loss, hard work, and unexpected connection.
FUZZ BOX FRINGE FEST: An off-the-wall underground shorts film festival that will celebrate the bizarre, the bold and the beautifully unhinged. Neatly tucked into the inaugural Wailuku Film Festival, 4F, will be a late-night circus of pink gorillas and short films. Fuzz Box Productions is a multi-media collective based in Lahaina that focuses on encouraging, inspiring and empowering individuals to develop their creative vision by providing an environment to cultivate their skills and talents and a platform to share them in the community.
